blogworthy things

today, i decided to use my macbook to take pictures of some of the clay works that my kids were going to make during our art class. imagine my surprise when i open my laptop and lo and behold, it picked up a faint but reliable signal. so here i am, in the middle of my classroom, ecstatic over a porthole that has opened in the middle of nowhere.

on other things, i'm approximately 25 years and a week old. the birthday frenzy has come and gone but it has left me with enough happy memories to tide me over for a couple of weeks. even if it was off to a rocky start, i couldn't have asked more from my friends and family who were there to celebrate it with me. i got my nice fancy shmancy lamb dinner which my sister gave every effort to make happen. my dad who came to the rescue when everything started falling apart at the last minute. my friends who were there to enjoy it with me. my baby who in his own way, made sure i knew that he loved me. everyone tried to make my day a little more special and i was truly touched. i savored every moment of it.

i guess my birthday epiphany would be that i have pretty much everything i want in life. i told myself that no matter what, i can survive the worst of tragedies if i hold my head up high and believe in myself. it's all a matter or perspective. i might not be clothed in prada head to foot or have a super nice car or be the prettiest girl in the world or get to travel at my every whim but i get to enjoy simple pleasures like a nice sunset or getting a really good bargain on shoes. and every once in a while a real treat comes along like spending a sunday afternoon on a speedboat, flying with my dad or having new stamps in my passport.

ladies and gentlemen. life is good.

Good one! With an outlook as bright as that, things are all going to fall into place... And you can quote me on that :) Hehe.
