Happy Easter from the Nursery Class of CLC.

To duplicate this delightful easter treat, you’ll need:
a couple of empty egg shells
assorted food coloring dyes
warm water in a bowl
cotton balls
small chocolate eggs
construction paper
colored markers
glue

Fill as many bowls with warm water according to the number of colors you want your eggs to be. For example, if you want 4 different colored eggs, you’ll need 4 bowls of warm water. Put a couple of drops of food coloring in each of the bowls and mix it up until the water becomes an even color.

Soak the empty colored shells in the water for a little while or until you get the desired color. Let them dry.

Cut out some tiny bunny ears from your construction paper. When your eggs are dry, glue the bunny ears on and draw a bunny face using your colored markers.

If your eggs don’t already have a hole in one side (duh! how else will you get the liquid out) then make one. Drop in a little chocolate egg and close the hole with a cotton ball to serve as the tail for your easter bunny egg.

Give to friends and family.

If you’re a sentimental person like me, you can pose the bunny eggs on some grass (or anywhere you want) and take some macro photos before the kids smash them to get to the chocolate inside.
