every once in a while, when his parents are away on exotic vacations, we like to sneak in a sleepover or two at his place. we don't usually have any plans except to sleep beside each other when we're sleepy and just go with the flow. this time, it came at a pretty opportune time since he's been travelling alot lately.
last night, we stayed in because he was too tired to do anything after his tennis match that afternoon. like an old married couple, we pulled up the covers and said goodnight by 9:30. but around 11:30, he woke me up and declared that he wanted to go for a snack. so we drove to a japanese restaurant to have gyoza and spicy miso soup.
the next day, when we finally got up at around lunch, we decided to go for a drive and see where the road takes us. this went all the way to balamban. i actually saw the beach on the other side for the very first time. after our 3 hour cross-island drive, we settled into our leather green couch and watched Music & Lyrics till dinner time.
i'm pretty glad that after his super duper busy 2 week travelling stint we had some time to ourselves. it makes all his "don't disturb me while i'm working" grumpy tantrums when he's travelling cheerfully bearable when i know we'll always have time to just hang out when he gets back.
